I wrote about Xmas fairs in Saint-Pete last year in my enormous post here. Contrary to that experience, this time we were fully satisfied! This year it was decided to set up the fair at new place near TYZ. Although it is not the real center of the city, it is still close and there is a lot of space which is fully available for the fair.
So, what do you expect usually from fairs? I want to see the farmers products, I want to taste some natural food, drink some warm wine and eat an apple in caramel (tastes awful, frankly, but looks extremely good=)) This time the counters were crammed with the products from several regions of our country. Mushrooms (dried and salted), berries, herbs, teas, honey, smoked fish, sausages, kozulies (yeah, the russian equivalent of gingerbread)and whatever you want to eat! All of these smell so good and tasty, omg!
