One day in Hong Kong part II

:) The first part of my Hong Kong day is here

I am in love with these benches=) the bench back could be changed according to the direction of the drive, so you could always sit toward to the move, or otherwise :)The whole sail is up to 10 minutes or so, and you landed in Kowloon, the newer part of Hong Kong.

The sight of harbor is very unusual to my eye. As you may see at the photo, everything looked blue because of the fog, that add some moody feeling to this picture. But it is beautiful and powerful, anyway!

What may attract you attention at Kowloon. Every site and apps shouted about Star Avenue and Night show on the bank. Well, I am not interesting in first at all, frankly...This is so boring.. Though there was some interesting exhibition at the quay near the Exhibition Center. Concerning the Night show of Lights, it is at 8 p.m, so I had time. Anyway, I came along the quay and then just turn to the city sight.

Entrance to ICC

While I was straying in endless Hong Kong passages, trying to reach the city part from the waterfront, the sun came up, and I decided to visit the highest skyscraper in HK, International Commerce Center,  ICC, as it has the 360 degrees observation desk and I could admire the harbor from above, as I wanted in the evening. It took a 40 minutes walk, or even more, cause I stopped to stare at something several times and I reached the bunch of buildings and the ICC at the center of it. It took a while to find the entrance to this city in the city, but finally I got into ICC. But during the walk, the fog came up again, and the girl at the front desk said that it is impossible to see anything from above...Such a pity, I was pissed...

I went back to the center (as I called it) of Kowloon, went through the Victoria park full of beautiful green arches, very cosy and relaxing, then through the Kowloon park. Can you imagine the glass and concrete surroundings and at the center of this circle the wonderful park with pools, fountains, alleys and rare birds? That what they call Kowloon Park. Awesome.

Near the park I drank coffee and ate some piece of cake at Starbacks, and use their free 15-minutes Wi-fi, yeah, it is very confusing, that such techno-city has such problems with available Wi-fi. That was the only stop for the food, actually.. for the whole day..I was all observation:)) After that it was started to get darker and darker, and I wanted to find some souvenirs and postcards, but it was almost impossible, as HK is the most modest city I know, I hardly found some at the bookstore and went to the waterfront to take a look at Night Show of Lights.

Flamingos

It was a little bit early, so I walked along the promenade for a while. There was karaoke for everybody in Chinese near the Jackie Chan star. And that, my friend, was creepy. I moved away from it as far as possible to the Clock tower and sat on the bench. BINGO! free Wi-fi spot! i texted everybody and posted some pics on Instagram :) and then heard the music of the staring show. I hadn't thought that this would be awesome, but I hoped for better from the Show out of the Guiness book. It was nothing at all, I would say that I totally wasted my time for it. That was how my HK day ended. After the show, I met my collegues and we went back to the airport.

To sum up, I might frankly say, the older part i liked more than the newer, maybe that is because there were golden skyscrapers on the island part! golden! But I see now, that there are a lot of different places in HK, which are worth to visit, actually:) So maybe someday I will come back and take a look at Big Buddha or rise to the Sky 100, or see pandas at Ocean Park..Hope you are still alive after reading such a looong post, thanks for it!
